The NFL is back with its new season, and for most players, it means they’ll be competing in a brand new league with an entirely new look.
This season, however, players will have a chance to take a step back and look back at the past and try to figure out what makes the game what it is today.
Here’s what we know about this week’s slate of teams.
The Buffalo Bills will open their season on Sunday night against the Cleveland Browns.
In a statement released by the NFL, the Bills said: “The Buffalo Football Club and the NFL are excited to announce the return of the National Football League to Buffalo in 2017.
“Our primary focus is to get back on the field and compete in the best league in the world. “
Our focus this season will be on developing our team to become a contender for a Super Bowl championship.””

This season, Buffalo will be looking to bounce back from a 1-11 start to a 6-6 season.
It has yet to win a game, which will keep them out of the playoff picture.
The Bills will have to go through the offseason to find some new players and fill out their roster.
According to the Buffalo News, the new head coach for the team is Rob Chudzinski, a former coach of the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles.
The new head of football operations is Todd Bowles, who took over as the Browns head coach after firing Hue Jackson.
The Bills have struggled to score points during their recent struggles.
They rank last in the NFL against points per game (28.2), and rank 30th against yards per play (11.8).
Buffalo’s defense will need to continue to find ways to make plays and generate turnovers as the season continues.
The Buffalo Bills defense ranked 20th in points allowed per game last season, which ranks 29th this season.
Buffaloes quarterback Tyrod Taylor is expected to start the season on injured reserve, which means he will not be able to participate in any preseason games.
As the Bills head into their third preseason game, the team has a bye this week and can go on a five-game road trip before the Bills take on the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.
Despite the Bills being the defending champions, the franchise was not able to win the Super Bowl.
They went 1-12 in the regular season, including a 4-12 record against the AFC South division.
